Ramping Up the Road to Greater Data Streaming Accessibility

StreamNative, the cloud-native data streaming company founded by the original creators of Apache Pulsar, has officially announced the launch of two new products, along with a Partner Program which is designed to make data streaming more approachable and cost-effective. Coming at a time when complexities and operational overhead associated with implementing and managing data streaming infrastructure is playing a major spoiler for its wider adoption, available details indicate that more than 76% of IT leaders were able to cite five or more data-related challenges that currently affect their organization, including siloed data and governance. Having said so, 94% of them also cited five or more areas where data streaming platforms can help combat these challenges. Talk about how StreamNative’s new products will navigate such a gap, the answer begins from its brand-new StreamNative Serverless solution. In essence, the solution in question comes bearing an ability to deliver instant provisioning so to allow users to get started within seconds. Not just that, they can also do so without the need for a complex sizing exercise, something which was previously a major hurdle when it came to opting for data streaming technology. All in all, such a streamlined approach should enhance users’ operational efficiency, reduce costs, and therefore, make it possible for them to get the most value from running StreamNative Cloud.

More on StreamNative Serverless will reveal how it uses Apache Pulsar as its underlying architecture. In case you weren’t aware, Apache Pulsar arrived on scene with features that support multi-tenancy and scalability. Hence, this would go a long distance in setting it apart from other data streaming serverless products. Beyond that, though, the solution’s features include autoscaling based on workloads, elastic consumption-based pricing, and a new user interface with enhanced navigation.

“StreamNative’s mission is to democratize data streaming and make this powerful technology accessible to organizations of all sizes,” said Sijie Guo, CEO and co-founder of StreamNative. “With the launch of our Universal Connectivity and Serverless offerings, we are breaking down the barriers that have historically made data streaming complex and resource-intensive. By providing a simplified, declarative experience and instant provisioning, we are empowering our customers to unlock the full value of their data without the need for specialized expertise or costly infrastructure.”

The other product launched by StreamNative is called StreamNative Universal Connectivity (UniConn). In simple terms, UniConn democratizes connector experiences for all the streaming workloads to dramatically expand users’ data streaming possibilities. Furthermore, it delivers a rather consistent experience for all the streaming workloads. Not just that, it also brings forth a consistent experience to connect, process, debug, and monitor data pipelines powered by Kafka Connect (an open-source framework) and/or Pulsar IO (a framework for building connectivity with Apache Pulsar). Staying on the Kafka Connect bit, with the knowhow to run Kafka Connect-based connectors in StreamNative Cloud, UniConn will even help users achieve increased flexibility when choosing between Pulsar or Kafka connectors. This, like you can guess, opens up the space for its users to access a wide array of pre-built connectors available throughout the Kafka ecosystem. In total, UniConn customers can access over 50 connectors in the StreamNative Hub and more than 100 connectors from the open-source community, as well as other Independent Software Vendors who have developed Kafka-based integrations.

Moving to StreamNative’s partner program, it is conceived to optimize the company’s diverse partner ecosystem, which has already clocked substantial adoption across multiple sectors, including AI, stream processing, and various other areas. At present, the list of partners who have signed up for this program includes CalSoft, Nexamind, Pinecone, Risingwave, Timeplus and Zilliz.

“Partnering with StreamNative has significantly enhanced our ability to deliver real-time data solutions to our clients. Their robust and scalable streaming platform seamlessly integrates with our services, enabling us to process and analyze data with unprecedented speed and efficiency. StreamNative’s commitment to innovation and performance aligns perfectly with our mission to provide cutting-edge technology solutions, making them an invaluable partner in driving success for our customers,” said Parag Kulkarni, Chief Operating Officer at CalSoft.
