Honoring the Bids to Empower Broadband Service Providers

Calix has officially announced the winners of its 2024 Partner Innovations Awards at Calix ConneXions to honor six visionary companies that positively impacted broadband service providers (BSPs) throughout the year.

More on these awards would reveal how they celebrate excellence in transformation, innovation, subscriber experience, and overall business impact on shared customers between Calix and its partners.

Talk about this year’s winners, they include Conexon, who was honored for connecting nearly 5,000 subscribers and bringing high-speed internet to rural communities. An example of Conexon’s technological excellence is also provided by its recently-launched Washington EMC’s $54.5 million fiber network project in Georgia which was markedly completed ahead of schedule.

The next winner in line would be ePlus who was honored for setting the bar in regards to training and accreditation with the highest team participation of any Calix partner. In fact, during 2024, 75 percent of the ePlus sales and engineering teams would complete Calix Partner Accreditations, whereas on the other hand, 100 percent completed Cloud value training. Furthermore, the company has even contributed to Calix training initiatives by developing custom workshops, as well as enabling municipalities, electric cooperatives, and tribal communities to launch networks in record time, significantly reducing project costs.

“Our partners help our customers plan and expand their businesses, deploy and integrate new capabilities, and enhance the value of the Calix Platform,” said Matt Collins, chief commercial operations officer at Calix.

Joining the list of awardees after that is GLDS, a company who was recognized for its positive community impact on customers and the industry. You see, GLDS has made a name for itself by developing new integrations to support BSPs in serving their communities. Integrated with Calix webhooks, the company’s proactive outage management and communication system, including SMS and email notifications, provides a seamless customer experience during major outages like natural disasters. Such a setup, like you can guess, allows BSPs to significantly reduce call volumes, while simultaneously increasing subscriber satisfaction.

Then, there is GOCare, a company which earned the honor in question because of its visionary commitment to innovative solutions,, solutions that aided Home Telecom’s campaign ROI by 150 percent in just one year. In essence, GOCare would leverage its Digital Experience Platform (DXP) to enhance customer engagement and let BSPs embrace customer preference for digital communications. Not just that, the company has also been banking upon Calix Engagement Cloud to ensure that Home Telecom can execute a highly targeted upgrade campaign, triggering a 90 percent improvement in response times and a three times higher response rate.

Nex-Tech happens to be another winner, a feat it achieved on the back of its innovative support, services, and marketing campaigns for BSPs that accelerate and expand go-to-market activities.

Hold on, considering we still haven’t touched on Positron winning Partner of the Year award for enabling service providers to deliver fiber-based experiences to MDUs. The company is understood to have realized that through its Positron Access Solutions that empowered service providers to efficiently deploy gigabit Ethernet services within legacy multi-unit dwellings (MDUs), and that too using existing infrastructure. Furthermore, Positron extends XGS-PON and enables service providers to leverage their backend systems without modifications. All in all, such a setup allows service providers to serve legacy MDUs and lower infrastructure costs, accelerate their fiber deployment to high-density properties, and convert homes passed to homes served.

“This is how BSPs are transforming lives, driving growth, and bringing value to local communities with a growing range of innovative managed services. Our award-winning partners help accelerate and amplify this process, ensuring our customers are well-positioned to enhance and differentiate their offerings while driving success across residential, business, and community markets. We look forward to continuing collaboration with our partners that enable BSPs of any size to simplify their business, innovate for their subscribers, and grow value for themselves and their community,” said Collins.
