Delivering an Unprecedented Connectivity Experience at MLB’s Celebrated All-Star Week

T-Mobile has officially confirmed its decision to deploy a full slate of innovative, 5G-powered experiences, and exclusive customer perks with Magenta Status at MLB All-Star Week in Atlanta from July 11–15.

Talk about all the company will deploy during this event, we begin from an automated ball-strike (ABS) challenge system. The stated 5G-powered ABS challenge system will make its Midsummer Classic debut, and at the same time, mark its third consecutive appearance on the Futures Game.

For better understanding, the ABS challenge tech infrastructure actually runs on a private 5G network from T-Mobile’s 5G Advanced Network Solutions (ANS) for enterprise customers.

Next up, fans can come expecting to enjoy T-Mobile 5G Batting Practice Show (5G BP). This involves never-before-seen angles of players warming up at Truist Park, including views from a new 360-degree drone and field-level perspectives from 5G POV cameras throughout the stadium and fan zones.

Another detail worth a mention relates to the availability of enhanced 5G connectivity for fans and first responders. You see, for the first time at All-Star Week, T-Mobile will utilize dedicated network slicing to deliver mission-critical 5G at the disposal of MLB’s critical operations teams, achieving the highest priority connectivity on its network.

Joining that would be the prospect of efficient, 5G-optimized event operations that will again bank upon 5G network slicing to power Non-Ticketed Entry via facial recognition, thus enhancing security and entry speed for credentialed staff.

On top of it, the Un-carrier is also unlocking rapid content delivery to let MLB photographers and content teams seamlessly share content with fans at fastball speed.

Hold on, we still have a couple of bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t yet touched upon T-Mobile’s $1M prize giveaway. Conducted in partnership with Fanatics, T-Mobile will offer exclusive perks for Un-carrier customers with Magenta Status, dispatching in totality $1 million worth of Fanatics FanCash.  The stated giveaway is open to fans both at the ballpark and at home.

Almost like an extension of it, T-Mobile customers can meet players and enjoy exclusive giveaways at Club Magenta, access Home Run Derby perks like Fast-Lane stadium entry, along with a $25 concession voucher, and a free All-Star Week hat at local T-Mobile stores.

Among other things, it ought to be acknowledged that T-Mobile members, and up to two guests, can get front-row views of the MLB Red Carpet Show presented by Deer Park ahead of the All-Star Game, exclusive discounts on Fanatics gear, and more..

Hold on, considering we haven’t yet touched upon the fact that T-Mobile Truck & Trailer will feature interactive games, a photo booth, and giveaways like T-Mobile Home Run Derby phone wallets.

“We’ve partnered with MLB to help transform the game day experience — and transformation at that scale can only be achieved with a network that is up for the task,” said Mike Katz, President of Marketing, Strategy and Products, T-Mobile. “We’re demonstrating the power of T-Mobile network in a big way by delivering the first All-Star Game showcase of the 5G-powered Automated Ball-Strike system, expanding our T-Mobile 5G BP show and providing vital connectivity for both MLB’s onsite operations teams and first responders. All of this is only possible thanks to the unmatched performance and reliability of America’s Best Network.”
